After nearly a year of temporary co-hosts filling Hoda Kotb 's seat on the Today show, a permanent replacement for the longtime broadcaster has finally been announced. As of Tuesday, December 9, Jenna Bush Hager will be sharing the Today desk with journalist Sheinelle Jones come 2026.
Jones has been with the Today show for more than a decade, joining the morning program's weekend edition in 2014. In 2019, Jones was named co-host of the show's third hour. She will leave that hour to join Bush Hager in the fourth hour.
